Hi everyone! You know that I started living a very healthy lifestyle. That doesn’t just include working out and going to the gym everyday, but also eating healthy and meditating. And also taking an inventory of your life continuisly and know who are worth keeping and who gots to go out the front door. No need for bs and no need for negative energy in our lives.
To go along with my workouts, I have also been eating clean. Eating clean means eating all organic, fresh and natural ingredients. I also incorporate supplements into my diet and these suplements include spirulina, fish oil and whey protein isolate.
Spirulina is a super food that comes from blue algae. It sounds gross and may even taste gross to some but it is packed with tons of antioxidants, vitamins and protein. I usually use a tablespoon of spirulina powder which you can get at your health store and mix it into my morning fruit smoothies. This is how I make my green smoothies since the spirulina will turn your smoothie super green! :).
Second is Fish oil. Now I never was a big fan of fish. Not because I didn’t like the taste but because industrial fishing really is destroying our ocean and planet :(. I know most of you or maybe just some do not care, but I do. So I just try to spend the extra buck by buying line-caught salmon, mackerel, or sardines. These fishies are super rich in Omega 3- fatty acids which help with healing sore muscles and joints. I usually get line caught canned sardines in olive oil and squeeze a lemon over it served with a side of steamed brocolli and half cup of brown rice.. Hmm yummy!!!!! Yes! :p Just for a quick meal tip.
Third is whey protein isolate. Ihave been lifting a lot and I have actually set up a plan to work out each different muscle group split out of the rest of the week. So whey protein isolate is really good for muscle recovery as well as energy. I don’t want to be a body builder but this is still good if you would like to shred and have a nice lean and toned body.
Here is a quick simple recipe for a healthy meal! Eat clean! (organic and fresh meals)
3 organic chicken breasts
2 organic tomatoes on vine (chopped)
Bunch of basil leaves finely chopped
Half of an organic red onion
Himalayan sea salt and fresh ground pepper
Place the chicken in dutch oven or crock pot and season with salt and pepper.
Throw ingredients on top of chicken and let slow cook at 350 degress for 45 minutes. Serve with brown rice. Yummy
It’s just a lazy way to create something tasty! Haha love you all and stay positive.
